Reality Check?
I haven’t been reputably published. Sad, isn’t it? I was thinking about it earlier. All this nice, fancy domain space and two dinky blips on my bibliography.
Well, I’m working on it. I could be working harder, but it’s been difficult since we got Warcraft. Distractions. *shakes head* Anyway, Alex and I have been talking about getting me a laptop before I’m published, which would move my work station back to the living room and away from the “Warcrack” as our friend Tom calls it. And I’d get back on track.
In the meantime, I’m going to try and make a list of agents to query for when my manuscript is edited.

My little Acer laptop works quite well for word-processing and has the added “bonus” of melting if you try to play any high-end games like WoW on it. So that would be nice and safe for you. It was about $600 after rebate, is very light and probably pretty durable (at least, I’d expect more durability than the last one that blew apart because of Mr. Tiger Pants).
Also, have you seriously considered just playing or (or at most 2) character(s) on WoW? It took me a while, but I’m really liking Manasseh my warlock and because the higher-level stuff requires so much time, I see little point/benefit to playing an alt at this point in time. PERHAPS once I have all my uber-gear and have unlocked the necessary instances (you have to reach a certain reputation with certain factions to even enter most high-level instances) I’ll go back to playing another character. Until then, it’s work during the day (yeah, I know, this isn’t “work” — I’m taking a break before my shower) and WoW in the evenings.

Well good luck to you. I wonder though with so many people trying to get published who will be left to read? :)
