I'm most definitely not one of those people. When I put my mind to something, I want to see solid, practical results. I really don't care about theory unless it will lead to something useful for improving the real world. Years ago, I found I was just <i>happier </i>when I stopped listening to intellectual conversations that go nowhere. I'll take a good obscure video game joke over a brilliant useless thought any day.
